The EXPLORA I is the first of the fleet of only six luxury ships. This innovative ship combines Swiss precision and elegance with European craftsmanship.
The 461 suites offer unparalleled sea views through floor-to-ceiling windows or from the private terrace.
The fourteen decks offer many indoor retreats and the spacious outdoor decks have three outdoor pools and 64 private cabanas on more than 2,500 m². A fourth pool has a sliding glass roof and allows swimming in any weather. The wellness area with spa and indoor and outdoor gym on more than 700 m² completes the holiday experience.
The crew-guest ratio of 1:1.25 promises excellent service - not only in the nine different restaurants and the bars and lounges.
The EXPLORA I uses environmentally friendly technologies to avoid emissions, is suitable for shore power supply, reduces underwater noise and does not use single-use plastic.

HOMES AT SEA

Relaxed luxury and elegant European design continue in the 461 suites, penthouses and residences, all of which are exterior. The experience of traveling on the sea can be felt intensively here thanks to the floor-to-ceiling and room-high panoramic window and the glass terrace railings, because whether in the living or sleeping area or on the private terrace, sea views are guaranteed everywhere.

Guests can also enjoy, for example:

Ocean Suites
Between 35 and 39 square meters in size, two adults and one child up to the age of 18 can enjoy selected design and exclusive living here, from the private terrace to a Living area to the extensive pillow menu.

Ocean Penthouses
Between 43 and 68 square meters in size, two adults and one or two children up to the age of 18 or a third adult will find their perfect holiday home here. This category is also equipped with a dining area and a work area, and some of the bedrooms are separate.

Ocean Residences
Two adults and one to two children up to the age of 18 or a third adult live here in an extremely luxurious way on 56 to 74 square meters and are spoiled by the butler service. A special feature is the sea view whirlpool on the private terrace. The bedroom is always separate from the living area, the dining area and the work area with a large desk. Some Ocean Residences also have a guest bathroom.

Owner's Residence
With 280 square meters, the Owner's Residence promises the absolute highest level of comfort. Those who live here entrust their wishes to a private butler. The 125 square meter terrace of the owner's residence extends across the entire width of the ship at the stern. Right in the middle is a glass-enclosed infinity pool. Who bathes here, almost merges with the sea. Other features: spacious lounge landscape, fireplace, steam bath and much more. Can be booked for three adults or two adults and one or two children under the age of 18.

WELLNESS AND FITNESS
Your customers will begin their transformation in the 700 square meter indoor and outdoor wellness area, 270 square meter fitness area with state-of-the-art equipment, on the jogging course and the ball sports field or in the fitness studio for group and individual training. We also support them with wellness and fitness experiences on land, nutrition and sleep programs.

POOLS AND OUTDOOR AREAS
When designing the EXPLORA I, we focused on the element of water so that you can experience the Ocean State of Mind. The outdoor areas are more than 6,250 square meters with spectacular sea views and numerous indoor and outdoor whirlpools along the promenade deck. There are also three outdoor pools, including an adult-only pool, 64 cabanas and a 1,200-square-foot indoor pool with a sliding glass roof for all-weather swimming and relaxation, the largest and only in the industry.

LOUNGES AND BARS
More than ten lounges and bars adapt to the time of day, being places to relax in a quiet alcove during the day and social gathering places for a fine drink accompanied by live music and curated performances in the evening.

CULINARY DELIGHTS
Nine fine, small restaurants spoil our guests with very different exclusive delicacies, from Pan-Asian cuisine to the steakhouse, from the chef's concept restaurant to the pool restaurant. Each celebrates internationally renowned culinary talent and values sustainability and fresh, wholesome ingredients, sourced from local partners. Of course, you decide when and where you would like to dine, far away from fixed dining times and also in-suite.

SUSTAINABILITY

We are firmly committed to protecting the oceans and our planet. The cruise division of the MSC Group participates in the voluntary environmental certification program "Green Marine Europe Label". Exemplary measures on board the EXPLORA fleet:

- With the latest SCR catalyst technology, we reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by 90 percent.
- In ports, provided that there is an appropriate infrastructure on site, the ships draw shore power from renewable energies whenever possible.
- We ensure that our ships meet the conditions of the voluntary RINA DOLPHIN certification and thus protect the mammals living there through low noise emissions under water.
- We already have space on board for battery storage in order to switch to hybrid power generation as soon as this is technologically possible.
